| Diana Bertrand's Survivor Story |
| March 29, 2004, I required debridement surgery in my front lower left leg. I fell over a rust fridge cart, sought immediate medical attention, including a tetanus shot and after a 12 day period, which included 5 days of antibiotic intravenous, I developed the disease. The outpouring of support from family and friends was amazing. After 3 months, I have returned to work, I walk 5 km a day; my 'feeling sorry for myself' has been replaced with a new 'joie de vivre'. I was always very upbeat and I truly feel I am a better person who is blessed with the people I have in my life! |
